Robert Anthony DeRosa is an urban landscape photographer. In his work he seeks to transform the familiar, ordinary and often monochromatic cityscape and architecture into luminescent landscapes. Following a successful career in financial services and government, he returned to school at the age of 61 to pursue his passion for photography. He recently received a Master’s Degree in Digital Photography from the School of Visual Arts where he awarded the Paula Rhodes Award for Excellence. Robert was named a Finalist in Photo District News’ Photo Annual competition for his series “Winter Light: Coney Island.” His work was published in the May of 2010 in PDN’s Photo Annual issue. His work is currently on exhibit at the Powerhouse Arena in the “Capture Brooklyn” juried exhibition and will also open in the group show “Optic Nerve” in late October. His images have been published in Photoshop User and the soon to be released 3rd edition of “Real World Digital Photography”
